On Thursday, February 8, the President of the Court of Auditors, Dr. Sebastião Gunza, attended the closing ceremony of the Workshop on Financial Audit Standards, held at the Palace of Justice from February 4 to 8.

The seminar, led by Zambian trainers, brought together officials from the Court of Auditors, Ministry of Finance, Attorney General's Office, and the Inspectorate General of State Administration (IGAE) for four days to enhance their skills in international audit standards conducted by Supreme Audit Institutions.

During the event, the President of the Court of Auditors highlighted that positive feedback was received from the participants during the training, believing that the outcome of this training cycle will be reflected in the daily activities of the participating institutions.

"We will continue, we are open and available to conduct intensive training programs with the Supreme Audit Institutions and other institutions. Judges, Directors, and staff in general participated in the training, so we were all recipients, and the Court of Auditors benefits as well as the other institutions," concluded the official.

Mourad Baly, regional representative of the Financial Services Volunteer Corps (FSVC), which, together with USAID, developed the content delivered by Zambian trainers, stated that the partnership with Angolan institutions in the field of financial oversight will continue.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants by the Judges of the Court of Auditors.
