Composition and Functioning

It is the responsibility of the President of the Court of Auditors to:

• Represent the court and ensure its relations with other bodies of sovereignty and public powers;
• Chair the plenary, convening and directing its working sessions;
• Appoint the presidents of the chambers;
• Exercise the casting vote in the event of a tie between judges;
• Allocate judges' vacations after hearing them.

It is the responsibility of the Vice-President of the Court of Auditors:

• In his absences or impediments, or in case of vacancy, the President of the Court of Auditors is replaced by the Vice-President.
• The President may delegate, to the Vice-President, powers that are part of his own competence.
