Composition and Functioning

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE 1st CHAMBER ARE:
 

• To adjudicate on the granting or refusal of approval for all processes subject to preventive oversight, in the absence of agreement among the judges comprising the approval session;
• To adjudicate on appeals against decisions of regional or provincial sections in matters of preventive oversight;
• To order inquiries and investigations related to the exercise of preventive oversight;
• To issue instructions referred to in paragraph c) of article 6(2) of this law concerning preventive oversight;
• To impose fines;
• To exercise other attributions determined by law.
